Installation of the system had to be done within 6 hours. Because of its plug & play connection, the AF-X Fireblocker fire suppression system met all the requirements and in line with BV regulation DIRECTIVE OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL from December 12, 2006 laying down technical requirements for inland waterway vessels. Tugboat Tygo needs to equipped with an automatic extinguishing system. For smaller works boats such as the tygo weight and size do matter. The engine compartment was equipped with an old extinguishing system which needed to be replaced. Tygo had 1 day in harbour, so a quick installation was needed. AF-X Firebocker is a plug and play system and did the job.
